ProcessTamer - to prevent computer freeze/hang, prevent resource hogs

I used ProcessTamer in my previous notebook. When  I switched to my new duo-core notebook, I thought I would not need it anymore.

All seemed fine when I first got my notebook. Now, almost 1 year later, the old Windows problems are cropping up again and from time to time, my notebook will freeze or hang.

How does ProcessTamer help ?

When ProcessTamer…

sees a process that is overloading your cpu, it reduces the priority of that process temporarily, until its cpu usage returns to a reasonable level.

That would prevent my computer from freezing or hanging.

Essentially, it is a software to prevent any process or program from hogging the cpu resources.

Today, I installed it again. I’ll see whether it will prevent them on the duo core.
